Permafusion (a portmanteau of "permanent fusion") is the act of two or more Gems deciding, out of mutual love and trust, to stay permanently fused. A Gem fusion who engages in permafusion is also called such.

The term was coined by Peridot in "Too Far" to describe Garnet.
