Rainbow Cloud Monster is a Corrupted Gem that appeared in Issue 1 of the Steven Universe comic series. She was first seen being bubbled by Pearl, but later on escaped and reformed again.
Appearance[]
Pre-regeneration (debut)[]
The monster was only a multi-colored cloud with her gem acting as an eye.
Post-regeneration[]
The monster reforms into a large, vaguely humanoid round shape, multiple arms of varying sizes growing all over. She also appears to be wearing shoulder armor.
History[]
Issue 1[]
The monster was defeated by Pearl and she tried to bubble her gem, but it was too heavy to carry. Amethyst jokingly offered to help by shapeshifting into Pearl with an exaggerated bodybuilder physique but accidentally hit Pearl, who was carrying the bubble. The Corrupted Gem escaped and had a new, stronger form. With the team's cooperation, she was defeated once more.
Abilities[]
- Aerokinesis: She appears to have wind manipulation, as objects that were around her started to move around in the air without her directly touching them.
Trivia[]
- Her gemstone resembles a real-life geode, which is a plain rock on the outside that contains crystals on the inside.
- The monster is also similar to the Smoke Monster.
- She resembles the Devil Series Robots from Mega Man.
