Rainbow Quartz

Template:Rainbow Quartz "Rainbow Quartz" is the fusion of Rose Quartz and Pearl. She first appeared in "We Need to Talk".

Appearance

Rainbow Quartz has pink skin and long, voluminous, wavy blondish-white hair. She is roughly the same height as Opal, and has a slightly similar build, only being heavier and shorter. Rainbow Quartz has two sets of eyes and only one pair of arms. Her top pair of eyes are colored sky-blue, resembling Pearl's, while the bottom pair are black and resemble Rose's. The Pearl-like eyes are much larger and prominent, suggesting Pearl is slightly dominant in this fusion. Her nose is pointy like Pearl's and wide and upturned like Rose's. Her mouth is similar to Rose Quartz's, but without lipstick.

She wears a sleeveless, full-body leotard with the body colored white, and the leg region colored purple. There is a stylized four-pointed star, with the left and right arms of the star bent upwards, cut out on her stomach area of the leotard. She also has a loose, pale blue, diaphanous, long-sleeved shirt worn over her body. Her outfit comprises of no footwear, but instead has long, pink leg-warmers that cover half of her lower legs and feet.

Trivia

• Rainbow Quartz, along with Lapis Lazuli, Alexandrite, Peridot, Ruby, Sapphire, Stevonnie, and Malachite, have yet to summon their weapon.
• Rainbow Quartz is the only fusion whom has not spoken in the show, with the exception of the Cluster.
• Her outfit closely resembles a 80's-90's dancing/workout outfit.
• She was the first fusion to un-fuse of her own will. Others being damaged, broken, or fallen out of sync.
• Rainbow Quartz is shown to be very flexible, a trait she gets from Pearl.
• She is the first fusion involving Pearl that does not share Pearl's exact cone-shaped nose.
• She is the third fusion including Pearl seen in the series, and the first Rose Quartz fusion.
• Rainbow Quartz is the fourth Gem named after a form of Quartz. The other three are Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Jasper; and Sardonyx is the fifth.
• Her appearance is similiar to Jem from the TV series, Jem and the Holograms.
• Rainbow Quartz has the ability to stand on the tip of her toes just like another fusion, Opal.
  • She gets this trait once again from Pearl.
• Rainbow Quartz is the second fusion in the series with both sets of eyes being a different color not counting Garnet (Who has 3 eyes and all being a different color). (Sugilite being the first).
• She is the second fusion to not have pupils in her eyes, the first being Sugilite, who had only three of five eyes (Garnet's) with pupils.
  • However, she is the first fusion to not only have no pupils at all, but four eyes, with each pair belonging to their separate fusion components, Pearl and Rose.

Gemstone information: Iris Quartz; metal-coated crystal

• The term "rainbow quartz" can refer to two different types of gemstones:
  • Iris quartz, sometimes also marketed under the name "rainbow quartz" or "anandalite", is a quartz crystal displaying internal spectral colors under some of the crystal faces.
  • Metal-coated quartz, which is artificial, has a metallic rainbow coloration on the surface, and is created by applying a microscopic layer of metal (typically titanium) to a heated quartz crystal via vapour deposition.
• Rainbow Quartz is not a traditional birthstone.
• Rainbow Quartz are associated with hope and optimism.
• Quartz gemstones are very durable and hard.
