"Rose's Sword" is a magical weapon that formerly belonged to Rose Quartz. It was discovered by Steven and Connie in "Lion 2: The Movie", and is currently stored inside its scabbard in the pocket dimension inside Lion's mane.
Appearance
The sword has a slightly dark pink pommel resembling a rose bud with a rose quartz embedded in it. The guard and knuckle bow of the sword is pink with the guard having an image of a four-petaled white flower in the middle and the grip being dark pink; the grip, guard, and knuckle bow are inscribed with a twirling thorn design. The sword's cupped hilt and broad blade with its tanto tip are reminiscent of a 17th century military cutlass. This bright pink blade emits a white aura when pulled from Lion's head. At the base of the blade, the rain guard is shaped like a pink rose with the two outer petals being dark pink.
History
It's strongly implied that the sword's original owner was Rose. Although it belonged to a gem, it doesn't appear to be summoned, like Peal's spear or Amethyst's whip.
"Lion 2: The Movie"
Rose's Sword first appeared in the episode "Lion 2: The Movie". Steven asked Lion for help when he and Connie were attacked by the Robot Shooty Thing, and Lion responded with a glowing mane and eyes whilst the hilt of the sword materialized on his head. Steven pulled out the glowing sword and he and Connie volleyed the elemental blasts back using Connie's tennis skills (previously mentioned in the episode) at the Robot Shooty Thing in order to destroy it.
"Lion 3: Straight to Video"
In "Lion 3: Straight to Video", the sword is seen vertically standing in a pile of stones inside the pocket dimension in Lion's mane. The introduction of the pocket dimension and the revelation of the sword's location inside it indicates how Steven was able to pull the sword from Lion's head in "Lion 2: The Movie".
"Rose's Scabbard"
The sword appears once again in "Rose's Scabbard" after Lion finds Rose's Scabbard on the Gem Battlefield. Pearl states that Steven should have the Scabbard, and that Steven now also owns the sword that it once sheathed. After an unsuccessful trip to Rose's secret armory in an attempt to find the sword, Pearl shows Steven an image of the sword using a hologram, after which he exclaimed that he knew where it was. Back at the temple, Steven pulls the sword from Lion's pocket dimension, much to Pearl's surprise.

- Connie (Second Intro)
Trivia
- This sword is one of Rose's weapons, the other being a shield, currently in the possession of her son, Steven.
- The sword, unlike the shield, has only been used once by Steven (and Connie) in battle so its true capabilities have yet to be revealed.
- Although it is hers, Rose has never been depicted with the sword, or any of her weapons for that matter.
- This might be because of her caring nature. The sword might have been a weapon of last resort.
- She also may have made the sword specifically for the rebellion, indicating that under normal circumstances she (much like Steven) didn't want to fight.
- This might be supported during Pearl's hologram flashback in "Sworn to the Sword" while singing "Do It For Him/Her" when Rose is shown wielding her shield and the sword during the war.
- Seeing as how Steven sticks primarily to defense in combat, there is a chance that Connie will be the one to wield Rose's Sword. She can be seen using a sword in "Open Book", as well as in "Lion 2: The Movie" (with Steven), and in "Sworn to the Sword," she took fencing lessons from Pearl.
- There is also the possibility that the sword won't be used during any actual combat and will remain only as a memento of Rose.
- The second opening shows Connie wielding Rose's Sword as the Greg's Van drives down the main road.
