Steven Sugar is the brother of series creator Rebecca Sugar as well as the inspiration for the main character, Steven Universe.[1]
While he was a student at Rhode Island School of Design, he worked as a summer intern at Cartoon Network on Ben 10: Ultimate Alien. He works as a background artist on Steven Universe and Steven Universe Future. He is also a background artist for Pendleton Ward's Bravest Warriors and is currently developing a new indie game of his called Magbot with the help of game design company VaporPunk.
He is currently the lead background designer for the Disney Channel series The Owl House.
