Then, the series went to Netflix Vietnam (via Cantonese Chinese audio track) and now the entire series is on HBO GO Hong Kong.
This includes Steven Universe: The Movie (-寶石戰士大電影 / bou2 sek6 zin3 si6/2 daai6 din6 jing2 lit. "Gem Warriors Big Movie"[26]- on Apple TV or -寶石戰士Steven大電影 / bou2 sek6 zin3 si6/2Steven daai6 din6 jing2 lit. Like most of Asia, they skipped the episodes of the arc of "Heart of the Crystal Gems". And in Future they skipped the episodes 9, 12 and 13.
The names of the characters' remain the same as in English. This is likely due to Hong Kong's bilingual status, and controversy over renaming characters using Cantonese pronunciations of what were originally Mandarin names. They sometimes say some common nouns that can be confunded as names in Cantonese, though.
There are some exceptions with characters like Lion (獅子 / si1 zi2). The term "Crystal Gems" is translated as -寶石戰士 / bou2 sek6 zin3 si6/2 lit. "Gem Warriors"- explaining the series' name.

Steven Universe (Вселенная Стивена / Vselennaya Stivena lit. "Steven's Universe") aired for the first time in Russia on Cartoon Network on August 18, 2014. On this channel, the series is currently on hiatus since July 30, 2018, stopping in the episode 145.
Since September 2017, episodes of the series aired only in the late evening/night timeslot. The reruns of already aired episodes circulated on the channel until May 31, 2019, and then from August 1, 2020 to February 28, 2021.
On January 26, 2019 at the Steven & Mewni Fest in Moscow, voice actors Larisa Brokhman and Dmitry Filimonov were present. Filimonov, who is also the dubbing director, revealed at the panel that every episode up until 152 was dubbed, including the other ones that weren't aired at all and, according to him, would never air on Russian television.[41]
On June 5, 2022, during a YouTube stream organized by fellow actor Dmitry Cherevatenko, Dmitry Filimonov revealed that the movie and all of Steven Universe Future were fully dubbed in February 2022, and that he does not know when or whether any of these might release.[42]
On September 5, 2022, Russian audiotracks for episodes 149-152 of the Original Series, Steven Universe: The Movie (Вселенная Стивена: В Kино / Vselennaya Stivena: V Kino) and 11 out of 20 episodes of Steven Universe Future (Вселенная Стивена: Будущее / Vselennaya Stivena: Budushcheye) were obtained via HBO Max by gaining access to its code that contains information about available international audiotracks.
All gem characters are given feminitive pronouns such as "she", despite their official names being masculine (like Розовый Алмаз and not Розовая Алмаз, this was likely done because all gemstone names appearing in the show have masculine grammatical gender).
The fusion dance sequence has been edited out of "We Need To Talk" to be replaced with Greg's guitar solo, so Rainbow Quartz has never made an appearance in the Russian version, nor does she have an official Russian name. It would likely be Рáдужный Квáрц (Raduzhnyi Kvarts).

Steven Universe started airing on June 2, 2014 on Cartoon Network Turkey and it stopped on October 10, 2016 in the episode 84. The intro was left undubbed and a lot of the songs too, there were only a few like "Stronger Than You" that were dubbed.
After nearly 8 years, the Turkish version of the original series returned on Netflix Turkey with the release of Season 4 and 5, released on April 30, 2024. It may be produced by the same studio (Ak'la Kara Studios was acquired by Iyuno)[65]. There are voices of the CN Cast that returned for this dubbing. Almost all of the songs are dubbed this time, including the intro and Love Like You (Reprise); with the exception of "That Distant Shore" which was left undubbed, the reason for this is unknown.
Steven Universe The Movie (Steven Universe Filmi) premiered for the first time on September 19, 2021 in Sinema TV[66] with a completely new cast. The songs were left undubbed, with subtitles.

The intro seems to be remixed in every episode. There are two versions of this intro, the most used one is the displayed above, and the other version is completely re-recorded with the voice of Harun Can[68]. The lyrics remain unchanged except for the final part of the song:
Love Like You was left undubbed; the reason for this is unknown. For now, the Turkish version is one of the four versions that have dubbed the last part of Love Like You (Reprise).

The Arabic version of Steven Universe started airing on August 4, 2014 on Cartoon Network Arabic, the series was released until the episode 72 and the whole transmission of the series stopped permanently on October 11, 2016. Between 2017 and 2019, Netflix had Season 1's Arabic audio track.
The Arabic title, ستيفن البطل / Stephen al-Baṭal (lit. Steven The Hero), was chosen by CN Arabic Studios and is also used in Netflix. An Arabic subtitled version uses عالم ستيفن / ʻĀlam Stephen (lit. Steven's World).
After nearly 8 years, the Arabic version returned on Netflix MENA with the release of Season 4, releasing the first two episodes' (104 & 105) audio tracks on March 13, 2024. Season 4 and 5 were commissioned to IPH studio, most likely, by Netflix MENA.[70] In Season 4 and 5, the first theme song's lyrics are used and the intro is redubbed.

Since the Arabic dubbing was cancelled in CN, the song is currently incomplete because they only dubbed the series until mid Season 2, with the Original Version (Variation #12) being the only part found as yet. Steven Universe (סטיבן יוניברס) used to air on the cable and satellite channel "The Kids' Channel" or Arutz HaYedalim (ערוץ הילדים) in Israel on the Cartoon Network Block.
In 2019, the satellite television provider yes (יס) bought the rights of Cartoon Network shows, including Steven Universe. Episodes of the show were added to the video-on-demand service yesVOD and the streaming service STINGTV starting 2019 until November 26, 2020; it returned after some years on May, 2023.
It can be assumed that maybe DubiDub Studios didn't have the rights to dub Season 5, the Movie or Future.

The fact that the intro was translated almost literally down to every word from the original is very unbearable for most Israelis or fluent Hebrew speakers, since it grammatically wrong to say it the way it is attributed here.
An illegal Persian dub of Steven Universe: The Movie was released on the streaming service Digitoon in February 2020. The title was translated as دنیای استیون (lit. Steven's World).
Greg Universe sings a part of the intro in several translations of Steven Universe. He sings "cree en" in the Latin American Spanish version; "già crede" in the Italian version; "dem tror på" in the second Swedish version; "kan tro på" in the first and second Danish version; "uwierzy" in the second Polish version and "gorliwie" in the Extended Intro and "مخيف / Moukhyfon" in the second Arabic version. This seems to have been reflected in We Are the Crystal Gems.
Steven's voices sing this part in the Japanese version and in the first Swedish version.
Same thing goes with the French version where they replace the English texts with the French texts.
The episode "Coach Steven", aired in Korea, Canada, Latin America and Brazil, before it aired in the U.S.
The episodes "Can't Go Back" and "A Single Pale Rose" were supposed to premiere on May 1, 2018 in Latin America (including Brazil), six days before the premiere in the United States. However, they had to postpone it to May 7, 2018 on orders from Cartoon Network USA.
Cartoon Network Arabic is the first free to air channel to air Steven Universe, as well as 9Go! in Australia.
Beginning with Episode 27, "House Guest" (or Season 1B), all dubs handled by Turner EMEA in PAL territories began using pitch corrected M&E tracks to compensate for the change in framerate. Many dubs still used the 4% higher pitched intro for the remainder of Season 1B, then changed in Season 2, but some European countries are airing the show with the first intro.
Latin American Spanish: "Tú tienes el poder de Rose Cuarzo", "Hay muchos Cuarzos Rosa", "No sabía que importaba tanto Cuarzo Rosa"
In the Latin American Spanish version, Rose Quartz's name is translated as "Rose Cuarzo", whereas in the Castilian Spanish version is called "Cuarzo Rosa". "Rose" was taken as a first name in Latin American Spanish, while the translation "Cuarzo Rosa" is used for the rose quartz gems in general.
The same happens with "Smoky Quartz" which is translated as Smoky Cuarzo in Latin America, while in Spain was translated as "Cuarzo Ahumado".
The only time they said "Cuarzo Rosa" refering to Rose in the Latin American Spanish version was in the short number 11, "Steven's Song Time". This was most likely because it was a song adaptation.
In LATAM and Brazil, the air date of the episodes 11-20 of Steven Universe Future was supposed to be on April, 2020; starting on the 3rd of April. However Cartoon Network LA/Brazil announced on their social networks that the premiere was postponed due to problems in the dubbing process due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[72][73]
The episodes 11, 12, 13 and 14 were released in the Cartoon Network USA app with Latin American Spanish dub on September 21, 2020.
The episodes ended up premiering on TV from November 30 to December 4, 2020.
Most, if not all, translations are not exact, as there can be variations, that is dialects, within each language that change the meaning and context of the sentence all together, and thus the translation.
Katarzyna Łaska (Polish voice of Pearl) played role of Kim in Polish version of "Miss Saigon", just like DeeDee Magno Hall did in English version.
The French version usually dubs the songs into French but there are some exceptions:
In the episode "Mr. Greg", all the songs were left in English with French subtitles.
In Future they left only 3 songs in English: Dear Old Dad (but the final part was in French -instead of "you", Greg and Steven sang "toi"-), Can't Hold Me and the Theme Song. The rest of the songs are dubbed in French.
The Korean version usually dubs the songs into Korean but in the Movie they left the songs in English with Korean subtitles.
The song Can't Hold Me has not been dubbed in any language until now.
It is known that in Latin American Spanish they dubbed it (it was going to be sang by Luisana Petitt and with the adaptation of Jorge Bringas) but the client (WarnerMedia) discarded it because it's a single by Emily and not from the series.
The game MultiVersus was dubbed in Latin American Spanish, Castilian Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, German, French. Along with this, the actors remained the same for the characters of Steven and Garnet in all languages, except Steven's voice in Latin American Spanish, who was changed to the actor Emilio Treviño from Mexico.
Although Steven's voice changed in the Latin American Spanish version, Garnet's voice didn't. Rocío Mallo (Garnet's voice) is from Venezuela, and the main cast for the dub is from Mexico; so maybe the dubbing studio could only contact Rocío, because Leisha Medina (Steven's kid voice in the original series) said that she wasn't contacted for the project.[74]
The Pilot was only dubbed into Latin American Spanish[75] and Brazilian Portuguese[76]. It was published on November 4, 2017 on each YouTube channel.
There is a version of the Castilian Spanish intro with "cree en" (believe in) instead of "confía en" (trusts in). This intro only showed up in "Watermelon Steven" the first time the episode aired. The reason for this change is currently unknown; it may be just a mixing mistake, though.
In the Latin American Spanish, all the title of the songs are translated literally instead of the ones from the dub.
In the Latin American Spanish, Rocío Mallo (Garnet's voice) is miscredited in the song "Change" although Jorge Bringas is the only voice in this track; Jorge Bringas (Steven's voice) is not credited in the song "True Kinda Love" although he did voice Steven's part.
In the song "Happily Ever After", the vocals are not in sync with the instrumental. This happens in both versions.
In the Latin American Spanish version of this song, the final part of Garnet's verse is different from the Movie Version, it's redubbed and with slightly differences in the lyrics.
In a number of dubs, Steven is voiced by a woman (the European Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, French, Korean, Taiwanese Mandarin, Castilian Spanish, Arabic, Bulgarian, Malay, Indonesian, Russian, and Persian dubs to be exact), while he is voiced by a male actor in the Cantonese, Japanese, German, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Dutch, Polish, Finnish, Croatian, Slovene, Serbian and Hebrew dubs.
Since the episode "House Guest", in the Castilian Spanish dub, Steven's singing voice is portrayed by a male actor.
Since Steven Universe: The Movie, he is voiced by a male actor in the Latin American Spanish, Indonesian, Bulgarian, and Russian dubs.
