I don't get why people think Lars and the Off-Colors will return to help them in this episode. They've been escaping from Homeworld with a destination of Earth since the beginning of the season, and last time we saw them it was implied they were close to getting there. Even if they wanted to they probably wouldn't be able to - if anything, I'm expecting that once this is over and Steven and the gems (and whoever else may accompany them) return to Earth they'll either a) meet Lars and the crew on their way back and pick them up or b) Lars and the others will already be on Earth with Bismuth, Greg, Lapis and Peridot.
