though the color doesn't have to have changed, Pearls can be vivid colors such as this one, just look at Eyris Pearls for example
as shown with Nephrites, and the other uncorrupted gems such as Orange Spodumene, Bixbite, etc, as well as Jasper herself, they basically seem to have retconned out the idea of corrupted gemstones changing (tbh i'm glad they did)
