  • Alright everyone who here believes that Lion belonged to Rose Quartz before she died?

      Loading editor
    • i believe that lion is rose quartz a lot of evidence backs my theory up but the main reason i dont think lion was rose's pet is because noone had ever seen him before and based on the things that steven found in his maine he had been around since the battle between earth and Gem homeworld

        Loading editor
    • But why would Rose turn herself into a lion?

        Loading editor
    • Because lions are cool..

        Loading editor
    • and its a bit of a random animal so noone could trace her

      You have terrible punctuation.

    • Maybe Rose was hiding that stuff since war then stuffed Lion with it. Though it would be neat if Lion was old af.

Big fan of the Lion question. If Lion is an old rose creation wouldn't c-gems have witnessed something similar like how they knew her vines & fountain? Then again she kept secrets like the armory...and it goes on and on.

I think on purpose by the crewniverse! Like how they had Greg lay on Lion in second intro, 22 seconds you could decontruct for days on how it portrays just one season of character growth

    • wouldint be surprised if Rose somehow made the lion and kept it a secret. So that one day her son could look after it.

    • It was pretty much made clear in "Rose's Scabbard" that Lion belonged to Rose. But since the other gems didn't know about Lion she probably kept him where Steven found him-in the desert.

That's a theory I came up with, and the VCR supports it. But then there's the question of the sword and why she didn't put the scabbard with it.

Eh, let's just say she dropped it and was gonna get around to finding it one day. Oh, and have you noticed there are only two occassions where Lion listens to Steven? He only listens when he A. Needs to get Steven somewhere fast (See: Ocean Gem) or B. When he needs to show Steven something (See: Lion 2: The Movie and Lion 3: Straight to Video)

    • I heard a theory that Rose had a pet cat which is why there were cat pictures, cat cages, cat food, and all that other cat said in episode about Greg and Amethyst. The CG repeat that Rose gave up her physical form instead of saying she was dead. So what if Rose fused her "other form" with her pet cat and that created a pink lion and would also explain why lion doesn't have a gem.

Also it cats are pretty lazy so a personality like that would fuse with a caring personality to create Lion's personality. Lazy but still does anything to protect Steven. Rose had a sword and a shield. Maybe Steven could only have one say she gave him the shield and fused with the cat while still having the sword.

      Just a theory though :3

    • I like that theory, and I approve (I own a year old tabby cat) So I can agree with your explanation of Lions laziness. Most cats sleep all day and run wild all night.

    • I like dogs...I've owned 6 dogs. But I'm in a situation where I can ONLY have a cat.

What is this "other form" you're referring to?

    • Well Pearl said Rose gave her PHYSICAL form to Steven instead of saying she gave her whole form to Steven so there must be some other form. The only physical part of a gem is their gemstone, their other form might be light.

      Just a thought :3

Her "physical form' is the hard-light body projected from her gem. It is inconsequential because she can change that form at will, have it destroyed, and still exist. The only form of Rose that matters is her gem because if that is destroyed or even cracked the consequences are dire (as proven by Amethyst). There is only one Rose Quarts gem (that we know of) and that Steven has. And technically she did give her whole form for Steven because her gem is a part of Steven. There is no secret half of Rose floating around out there somewhere. All of Rose is half of Steven. 100% Rose = 50ish% Steven.

    • Rose's physical form isn't the light, her gem is.

False. If that were true they would've said "Rose gave up her gem for you."

A gems physical form is whatever interacts with the world outside their gem, their hard-light bodies.

Rose's gem is her physical form so it's the same thing. The bodies of gems are just hologramic light made with mass.

Semantics. But if that were the case they still would've said something along the lines of her gem/life.

    • Pearl explains things more than most gems do. Like when Amethyst explained Opal as the two of them mashed together and Pearl explained it more. Or when Steven said that it was just like the teacup ride and said the rooms are spinning them back to the start, then Pearl explained more.

She explains alot of stuff more than most gems do.

      Explaining more ≠ Explaining clearly.

Insert Pearl's quote in here and I'll show you why I believe what I do.
