  • This theory got started at Episode, "We Need to Talk" where Greg tell Connie that if she need to talk with ANOTHER Human Being about Gems, he will the one to talk to and she five hand him but Steven says this while rubbing his gemstone

    "Human Being"

This could interpret as Steven question his own humanity.

Even in Chille Tid where Steven have a dream where him and Crystal Gems are humans, did he views Crystal Gems as Human or he want a normal life as a normal human?

Remember the old saying, "Which sides are you on?"

    • In "A Indirect Kiss" Steven was sad over the fact that the Gems wouldn't hang out with him if he didn't have any powers.

    • As STeven says in the Guide, he does not feel like he fits strictly to either group but that allows him to have a connection to both.

    • This reminds me of a Star Wars character called Darth Revan, where he possessed both powers from the light side and dark side. His former friend would then tell him, "Savior, conquerer, hero, villain. You are all things Revan...and yet you are nothing. In the end you belong to neither the light nor the darkness. You will forever stand alone." I wonder if Steven feels alone, and that he can't completely connect with anyone. Is this some deep thought of seperation Steven feels? That would be interesting to explore.

Damn I love Reven so much. Even if the Exile is better.

    • No. I believe that Steven still wants to be half gem-half human.

    • Or maybe not. Becky may leave that for us to guess about.

    • Actually its not really that he wants to be pure human or gem. I think its more like he's not sure what he is. When he was clutching his gem, in We Need to Talk, he said human beings, knowing the story that humans and gems didnt get along well because they were different territories, and he knows he is part of both worlds. He was probably thinking, am I a human being too?

It sounded better in my head but do you guys see what I mean?

    • Like Avatar from Avatar the last airbender and Legend of Korra is the bringe between human and spirit world, I see Steven as a "bridge" between humans and gems. I mean, he does have moments where he questions his existence and purpose, but I think he accepts himself as both human and gem and wants the both of them to be in harmony...

      I just said that, basically.
