Honestly, I will be okay if this show ends at season 3. I'll be sad, no doubt, but it would be better than having a bunch of seasonal rot. We do not want this show to turn into another teen titans go!
I kinda doubt that it will turn out like Teen Titans Go!, because that show has pretty much stuck to its premise from the start (unless you're referring to the "transition" from the original TT series to TTG, but I find that transition unlikely for SU as well). SU is pretty solidly story/character-driven, so to change it to a wacky comedy cartoon would certainly be a stretch.

I have the theory the show is gonna be like gravity falls. Like there is one series and unless CN says otherwise they are gonna end it after season 4. But since AT can run for that long and many of the writers keep it going I'm sure it'll be okay.
I'm not sure SU and AT are exactly comparable that way, though. AT primarily draws its episodes from either the characters or the world (and they've pretty much set up a world where almost anything can happen, so they're in a good spot to run for even longer). SU, on the other hand, primarily draws its episodes from the characters or the story. While some find such cartoons more enjoyable and interesting, it also means that the story eventually has to end, and it has to be a satisfying ending, or else it will make all the events leading up to it seem unrewarding.
Good point. I agree, it will be stretch to make Steven Universe into a wacky comedy like Teen Titans Go!. And as for Steven Universe and Adventure Time being comparable and long running, their episodes structures are different, because, as for Adventure Time, it's episodes are driven by the world and characters, giving it potential of running longer. But, as for Steven Universe, it's episodes are driven by the characters and the story, which makes enjoyable and interesting, but, it has to end at some point.
So, for Steven Universe's run time, I think Steven Universe will go for 5-7 seasons and then end.
Anyway, nice overview! It's interesting and I enjoyed reading it!
