  • I've wondered why homeworld has abandoned earth, despite the fact that the CGs mearly survied the war. You don't give up when only 4(5) enemies are left, you simply sent more troops. Even if earth were of no value for homeworld wouldn't it make sense destroy the remaining rebels, in order to tie up loose ends?

And it seems that homeworld doesn't know they are on still on earth, since no one really expected them there.

From that I conclude that homeworld expected the CGs including Rose to be somewhere else and that homeworld's military was occupied with something else.

I think it is possible that homeworld is or was fighting other rebel gems a cross the universe. It would explain what occupied homeworld's military and why they doesn't expect Rose on earth.

The episode "The Answer" showed that destroying all native life on earth wasn't the only bad thing homeworld was doing. They are a suppressive regime.

    • I guess it's possible. I'd figure most of them would be on earth when he war happened.

Maybe they left after the war in order to fight homeworld somewhere else or find a safe haven so they can live in peace and harmonie. And the CGs just stayed on earth as caretakers. No one of the CGs that stayed on earth would rather live in a secret rebel gem safe haven than on earth. Garnet always has herself, Pearl always has wanted to be where Rose is and Amethyst wasn't there the the other CG left earth.

    • Well, if you mean if they're the only REBELS, then probably not. I'm pretty sure that at least ONE point somehwere in Gem history, there has been another rebellion. Maybe not for the protection of a planet, but it could have been extreme dissatisfaction with a group of Gem's roles. For example, there could have been an uprising of Pearls (or any other low-level gem) who demanded better treatment and relevant roles... etc.

    • I'm guessing there are probably other rebels. But I'm guessing that they probably don't call themselves Crystal Gems, and I'm guessing that it'll probably be a while before they show up in the storyline.

That would probably be something for the end of the show. Homeworld is about to destroy earth when the cavalry shows up in form of other Rebells who destroy Homeworld's super weapon.

    • If there were not some kind of war going on, why would homeworld need to produce so many soldiers and make super weapons?

    • I have the theory that there are many more CGs but they either don't associate with the main group because they don't feel like it or they feel like staying in hiding and blending in with society. Or they took to the stars.

    • Lenhi's Crystalline Saga seems to base in the fact that the CG movement started in Earth and then different branches travelled and expanded onto new planets. It seems plausible. Also, Its implied that more CGs survived the war, but they became corrupt, and that's what decimated their numbers to 4 (3 if you don't count Amethyst)

    • I rewatched S01E48 and noticed that Jasper did hope to meet Rose and the CG on earth. It's also possible that it's just a plot hole.

    • The people on Homeworld think the CG are stuck on earth. So of course she would want to fight rose.

    • Peridot has stated in "It Could've Been Great" that Gems are apparently an intergalactic species meant for planetary conquest. It's possible that Homeworld has another geo-weapon project, known to us as a Cluster, on another planet like Earth and that there are other Crystal Gems working to stop that Cluster from emerging. Keep in mind that the Crystal Gems was an entire faction of Gems against Homeworld. Because we've seen very few higher-status Gems, like Sapphires and Diamonds, in relation to Pearls, Rubies, etc., it's safe to assume that the lower-class Gems far outnumber their superiors according to Homeworld's caste system. Subsequently, Rose would have had a clear advantage over Homeworld in terms of numbers with the right amount of Gems, but this probably wasn't the case, as Homeworld also had many supporters. Rose may have uncovered an entire syndicate of Clusters timed to emerge at the same time during her stay on Homeworld, so it's most likely that there were numerous task forces secretly dispatched under Rose's command before Homeworld caught on.

TL;DR: There might not be Gem organizations similar to the Crystal Gems, but some CG members may still remain, stranded on other planets and attempting to contact our CGs. (while typing "CG members" i almost put memebers oop)
