If Steven died somehow, would the Cluster still be bubbled, or will it not be bubbled, or will it bubble itself again, or will it take form and destroy the entire Earth?

I'm curious. Please tell me your theory.

    • A large majority of the clusters bubble is because of itself, yes Steven helped join the bubble but I think the Cluster is the source of its own bubble for the majority. So no I dont think if Steven dies the bubble will pop.

    • That's a good point, we don't know if when a gem dies the bubbles they've created "die" with them. I think that if/when Steven dies the bubble he put around it would still be there, if it does "die" with him however, I guess the cluster could just bubble itself since it was shown doing that anyways.

    • Opal has bubbled gems and when she unfused the bubbles were still there, so if Steven dies the bubble will still be there

    • Ah, thank you for clarification. But since gem things are temporary, I'd think that the bubble would be gone with them.

(Note: Before you go on about Rose Quartz being dead, she technically isn't dead. She's inside her gem.)

Opal's power comes from Pearl and Amethyst tho, so whatever she bubbles is indirectly linked to her compents, so wouldnt the magic for the bubbles still exist as long as Pearl or Amethyst are alive?

      Hmm, maybe. :)

    • I'd say with consideration of the Clusters power, and its desire to not destroy the Earth i'd think it'd fight to keep itself bubbled even after Steven dies

Yeah, it's really strong, but how do you know it will mess up somehow and it all goes to crep?

    • Remember the Secret Team episode when Pearl stole the Rose Quartz Bubble with the Gem Shards...technically Rose is gone so why would the bubble still there (you said death of user not death of Gem so Steven is an exception to why the bubble is still there)

    • Rose is not gone, she is inside of Stevens Sub-Conscious

    • All of the Gems have been poofed so far (except for Steven, obviously.) Their bubbles are still there in the burning room, so I don't think it matters.

There's a difference between a gem being poofed and a gem being shattered. When a gem poofs they just retreat to their gem, when a gem is shattered they die.

And even if a Gem is shattered the bubbles they make may still exist, the Cluster is an example of this.... I think the only way to destroy a bubble is to completley drain the Gem of ALL energy/magic/life

I'm not saying that if a gem is shattered every bubble they've even made will "die" along with them. I was just pointing out the difference between a gem being poofed and shattered. I think you may be right about how the Cluster seems to confirm that a bubble of a shattered gem can still exsist, considering they're just gem shards yet they were able to bubble each other.

Or destroy it from the inside with a remote-detonated bomb...

    • I think the only way to pop a Gems Bubble apart from actaully physically popping it is to Harvest the Gem... I dont know what to harvest a Gem means but by the look of Peridot it is a fate worse than being shattered, and seems to be the equivelent of Gem Death by the reaction of Peridot

I've heard of a theory that the term harvest on homeworld refers to gems being collected to possibly be used to form geo weapons (like the Cluster) and other things like to power objects.

I think that it is either that or some kind of unseen procedure that consists of draining all the life force of Gems until they become lifeless gemstones, and then using the harvested "Gem prana" to feed Kindergartens and produce new gems

      That could be a possibility.

Gaps created by earthquakes don't go to the center of the Earth.

Drills don't go to the center of the Earth, yet the Gem Drill did. This is SU, so the Jasper-Basically-Screwing-Earth theory is possible.

These are totally diferent cases. The drill was made to go to the center of the Earth, while the gap wasn't even intentional.

well actually, the cluster is located in the mantle of the earth, not only that this is kinda for plots sake like jasper wouldn't fall for no reason, cause they couldv'e bubbled her or something or it's a coincidence that that just happened.

I feel like they just did it to get her out of the way for Lapis to have her arc, they'll probably bring Jasper back in once that's finished. Like how they brought back Lapis pretty much the episode after Peridot's redemption arc ended.

i mean like, the cluster was such a big build up, i don't think it'd take one episode just for the cluster to end etc. but yiiis more lapis <3

I do feel that we'll get more of the Cluster in the future, especially since Steven managed to actually sorta have a conversation with it.

She isn't dead, she's become half of Steven.
