I think you're right, but how did you come up with that?

That is something new to me. Where does one find "Topics for this thread"?

    • I guess this thread should be moved to the "Off-Topic" section now.

    • OK, now for the real discusion.

      From Marble Madness:

Peridot: Ah! More? But the Red Eye didn't report the presence of any Gems on this planet!

The OP may be correct, if I am understanding correctly what is meant. It would make more sense for Peridtot to say that if she was NOT directly involved in the operaton of the Red Eye, but instead had only received a report from someone else. Someone who falsified the results to hide the presence of the Crystal Gems.

    • Someone also may have been told the ship would send a signal if gems were found. If the Red Eye was recording seccessive hits by a Quartz at high speed (either visually or the strikes being relevant due to proximity of the planet and being repeated from a steady tragectory) but did not send anything, before it was destroyed someone might have only programmed their systems to respond to a positive signal.  No need wasting energy sending a message if nothing was there. Believed it went on to scan another planet to see if it could be used or how it was progressing.

Thus they might have mistaken null data as a negative result when they passed it on to the people who chose only a technician and one guard and it got glossed over in all the data Peridot was setting up to get.

Thus, laziness or stupidity on the part of a Gem who, unlike Peridot, didn't pay attention to what happened to the gadgets, but not necessarily someone on Homeworld aiding the Rebellion

I was thinking more along the lines that the Redeye was travelling DIRECTLY TOWARD THE TEMPLE. The Redeye, or its operators, knew exactly where the Crystal Gems were, before the CGs did anything. Why would they not tell Peridot? Because, she didn't need to know in order to have her robonoids go to the Kindergarten. It points out the military mentality of Yellow Diamonds forces. They don't tell anyone anything that they don't absolutely need to know.

    • I just figured that the red eye couldn't send back data because as we've seen Homeworld is in an entirely different galaxy so it might've taken some time. There is also the theory that there were several peridots that worked on the cluster project, one that repaired the warp pad and another that tried to check on the cluster (our peri) so maybe Peri was only going off of reports.
