  • In Joy Ride, When he having a conversation with The Cool Kids, He admitted to the, that Crystal Gems blamed him for Rose's "Death"

In Steven Floats, Steven tries to think about his mother, Rose but he reject it because he have a complicated feeling about his mom

In Mindful Education, Steven is having a worst BREAKDOWN of all time! He having a hallucation of Bismuth, Jasper and Eyeball and they all blamed him because they think of him as Rose Quartz. He keep saying "It's Not my fault" and I was shock that he see Rose Quartz as an angry person. He almost got himself and Connie KILLED which scared Garnet and Pearl out of them! Even though Garnet have a future vision, Garnet must be terrified of this scariest situation!

Now the question is does Steven HATES Rose? Because he find out about her secret and Rose is a liar! Steven apparently doesn't want to be like her after a mishap with Bismuth, Jasper and Eyeball. He doesn't want to be the legacy of Rose Quartz!

Wow, Rose! You are a horrible mother to Steven! You made his life a living hell.

I wonder if we will ever have a Series Finale where Steven finally resolved his feeling about Rose Quartz

Bismuth, Jasper and Eyeball are victim of Rose Quartz. If Pink Diamond as Youngest Diamond were true, What the heck is wrong with Rose Quartz?! I know she is trying to save Earth but do you really have to killed a child?! She was just messing around Earth like Steven would do!

I can't believe Rose Quartz is not VOTED as the most hateful character of Steven Universe?! Rose Quartz is more evil than The Diamonds! She causes the Civil War happens by killing off Pink Diamond!

ROSE QUARTZ IS A TRUE VILLAIN!!!!!

    • It's definitely something that Steven has to work out. I think "Mindful Education" was the beginning of Steven's road to recovery in this area, if you will. He's been suppressing his thoughts about the experiences he's been having - with Bismith, with the Rubys, with Jasper - because they were too painful. In this episode, Garnet (and later, Connie) help him learn how to face these negative thoughts.

Those are the first steps to recovery for Steven. But as depicted in his vision of his mother, he needs to work through that as well. He's beginning that journey. Baby steps (pun not intended).

    • Rose is the true vilian of SU

If she never exist then the whole war would never happended and Jasper would had a happy life

    • I don't think he hates her. He probably just doesn't understand why Rose did what she did and is frustrated with her. She left all her problems for him to deal with so naturally he's pretty irritated.

    • i think that steven is a little stressed on how everyone expects him to be like his mother. in my opinion, steven looks up to rose and wants to become a strong gem like she was.

    • No, I would say....those feelings are complicated.

    • He doesn't hate her. He just feels hurt and disappointed that his mom isn't what he thought she was.

    • Let's remember that what the Diamonds and their loyal followers (like Jasper) were doing was conquering and hollowing out planets. If Earth is anything like a typical example, they didn't care one whit for the existence of organic or even intelligent life on the surfaces of those planets when they xenoformed them.

Yes, Rose started a war and is said to have personally killed at least one of the enemy leaders. (Which is an awfully small body count for a war, really -- thank the Crewniverse that Gem physiology allows for poofing to be sufficient in most cases.) But in so doing she preserved the ability for every living thing currently on Steven's Earth to exist. Remember, too, that it was the Diamonds' use of the Corrupting Light that turned most of the Gems on Earth into monsters -- without that, Rose might have been the leader of a large population of free Gems for the past few millennia, instead of the leader of a small team mostly concerned with stopping the danger posed by their monstrous former comrades and foes.

Recent revelations may have shown Rose to be a more complex person than the goddess figure the Crystal Gems have revered since her disappearance, who made her share of questionable decisions and left messes for Steven to clean up, but even with the new information I don't think we've learned anything that paints Rose as villainous or worthy of hatred.

    • I don't think he hates her, but she definately is a source of a lot of his guilt. Also it isn't Rose's fault for the horrible things the diamonds were doing. She just stood up for what was right.

    • well,if rose didn't do anything, then the earth would've been completely devastated millennia ago
