I've been thinking, the diamonds are indestructable so maybe Rose could've accepted the breaking point only as a last resort to kill her former diamond and save earth.

Considering that it was stoved away by Bismouth implies it didn't see any use. Plus, great emphasis is put on Rose only shattering Pink Diamond as a desperate last resort and her bringing the Breaking Point with her would seem too premeditated.
Besides, personally I don't see the point in the Breaking Point. Rose had her kickass sword and shield. A Gem is pretty much defenseless at your mercy after you poof them: just poof and smash their Gemstone. Has the advantage of letting you fight with your own weapon that you are comfortable/trained with rather than the Breaking Point, too.
Besides, personally I don't see the point in the Breaking Point.
Pun intended?

Nope, just the English language being unintentionally punny.
