  • What gave me this idea is from two things:

1)In "Rising Tides, Crashing Skies," Ronando is interviewing the Mayor for his Doc. then he misheard Ronaldo saying covering with and quote from the Mayor, "Cover-up? WHAT COVER UP?!" then Ronaldo was "polity" escorted out of Dewey's office. His dirty secret I believe is that he knowledge of a secret military base that's been researching and reverse-engineering gem tech for several years. They may also have locked up gem monsters. Which leads to my other theory.

2)In "Beta" and "Earthings" Jasper has dozens of corrupted gems at her disposal. Which pretty quick for her, as in "Crack the Whip" she only has two corrupted gems. but I have reason to believe that jasper has broken into a top secret military base, the one Mayor Dewey has knowledge about, which resulted in many corrupted gems getting loose. With the military too busy having the base quarantined so that no more gem monsters can get out. Jasper is now free to snatch all escaped Gem Monsters. The reason I believed this is because Area 51 in our world is in within proximity to the Beta Kindergarten according to the map in "It Could've Been Great". So between "Crack The Whip" and "Beta", I believe that Jasper broke into the SU version of Area 51, a base where the Govt. has been messing with Gem Tech and keeping Corrupted Gems captured locked up. Which led to Corrupted Gems getting loose and with the military distracted. She was able to hunt them down without inference, and took the Corrupted back to the Beta Kindergarten. I can't really prove this but with Dewey freaking about about a Cover-Up, The real-life Area 51 in proximity to the Beta Kindergarten, and Jasper in just three episodes after "Crack the whip" has dozens of corrupted gems keeps my suspicions about an SU version Area-51 up.  We heard about Rose and HW's secrets but what about Mayor Dewey and The Govt.'s secrets. Users, Staff what are your thoughts on this?

    • WHAT THE HELL O_O

If this becomes true, my dream about an Apache helicopter vs the gems could be true

      Great work :3

    • Thanks, and also after mayor Dewey says these two words, Cover Up. I knew that Rose and the Diamonds can't be the only ones hiding deep dark secrets. When Ronaldo mentioned the crystal gems and said covering (which Dewey misheard as cover-up), Dewey had him escorted out. I believe Dewey feared that the CGs are getting suspicions about something secret, like a top secret base that's messing with gem tech and keeping gem monsters looked up.

And another thing, those corrupted gems that got loose when Jasper slammed into the wall in "Earthlings", we never saw those gems again. Which I believe when the CGs accompanied the ruby squad to the moon (Back to the Moon) and looking for Steven (Bubbled). This seems to bought the military time to hunt down and recapture the corrupted gems (the ones that escaped from Jasper's clutches) and took them back to the military base.

The commander in charge of hunting down the corrupted gems realizes the ones they recover (those that escape Jasper inc. Snow Monster) are only a handful compared to the number that escaped. The Commander will then infer that Jasper still has corrupted gems caged up. However, Mayor Dewey contacted his Superior and asked to leave the caged up gems to the CGs because the CGs will find out about the base if troops were sent to the area. So the commander gets contacted by his superior and is ordered to call of his troops.

The commander hesitant at first, ultimately complies and calls off the search for the location. As a result, no troops were seen in the Beta Kindergarten and the base was able to maintain it's secrecy. The top secret base is where I believe the Snow Monster is right now, locked up by the military. I believe this because in "The Kindergarten Kid", no mention is made of the escaped corrupted gems nor the Snow Monster. The CGs are focused on cleaning up Jasper's mess so they assume that they are far from the area (unaware that they have been captured and locked up by the military). Although there is no exact evidence confirming this, but looking back at it, for me personally, it all seems to make sense.

Again, We've seen the CGs keeping secrets about Pink Diamond from Steven but what about Mayor Dewey keeping secrets about a top secret military base that's been messing with Gem Tech and keeping Corrupted Gems locked up from the Crystal Gems.

    • They could also have extracted information from the lunar base in the Apollo space program.

And even, to have watched the homeword with the space telescope Hubble

And that the corrupt gems have them locked up in area 51, and probably use them as a weapon, same style lapis and mirror

not sure about SU humans going to the moon (SU earth is completly different after 6000 B.C.) but this could be a really twisted plot for another season

    • You know, I always suspected that governments in SU Earth were behind the silencing of Gem related stuff. I mean, Corrupted Gems and Gemsites are world-wide, but most of the common people (bar Beach City inhabitants ofc) have zero knowledge about them. And the CGs neither have the logistics nor the will to cover up all the events their activity causes. I wish the Crewnivers expands more on how politics work in this universe.

    • In relation to my secret base theory. I believe Jasper while collecting metal to cage up her gem monsters, had run-ins with the local police. When she was setting up her base of operations in the Beta Kindergarten, she most likely broke into several scrapyards to steal metal for her makeshift cages (I say this because the bars in Earthlings appear to be). In doing so, she attracted the attention of police. Jasper, when she stole that scrape metal, probably had some dealings with guard dogs, security guards, the guy who runs the scrapyard (who is armed with a shotgun), and police officers responding to the disturbance.

Evan before she broke into the scrapyards, jasper probably has police attention after the events of Crack the Whip. When police officers were responding to the disturbance at the beach, Sour Cream was most likely questioned. Although it's unconfirmed that Sour Cream at the very least heard Jasper's voice, he definitely saw one of the monsters before running away. When told the officers what happened, at first, no surprise, they didn't believe him. Until they see footprints left the skirmish between Jasper, and (Steven, Connie, and Amethyst). The police will also notice a trail of footprints that lead into the ocean although parts of the footprints got washed away by tides.

This to when Jasper stole those metal bars. This leads to the Department of Justice: Federal Bureau (SU FBI) realizing that the scrapyard thefts may be linked to the incident in Beach City. The feds will analyze the data from both cases and notice something similar. In which I believe is that the footprints found in the scrapyards match the ones that lead to the ocean in Beach City.

Jasper who has not yet broke into the military base has already attracted the attention of local police and federal agents.

Now this leads to the base break and entering theory. When Jasper stole those metal bars, might have heard rumors about a top secret base that's been messing with "alien technology and keeping unusual critters in chains". Jasper infers that by alien tech they meant gem tech and unusual critters they gem monsters like the ones she captured. Jasper maybe overheard this from a conversation between alien enthusiasts who visited the scrapyard for materials to build a transmitter. It's possible that those alien enthusiasts inadvertently gave Jasper the location of the base, when she secretly listened in on their conversation.

With this information, and after a bit of searching Jasper found the base. Which led to the break in. Once she get into base, a fight breaks out between Jasper and the military. At first, Jasper gains the upper hand with her strength and speed. However, the sheer number of troops and firepower soon overwhelm Jasper especially once reinforcements arrive. However as a result of collateral damage, many corrupted gems got loose and are breaking out of the facility. The military is now forced to focus on containing the base so that no more gem monsters can get out. In the ensuring chaos, Jasper slips away. Ultimately, the military was able to contain the situation and the top secret base has been quarantined while repairs are being made.

As I mentioned before, with the military distracted, Jasper was able to hunt down and take the escaped corrupted gems for herself. Jasper who has already gained attention from the police and the feds, now has the military out for her gem.

I also believe this break-in took place not too long before the episode Bismuth. I believe the reason why the CGs aren't so concerned about Jasper in this episode or in the previous episode, Steven vs. Amethyst, is that the CGs believed that after attracting the attention of law enforcement from the fight after "Crack the Whip", Jasper is now laying low. However, Jasper has been busy, her actions have attracted the police, the feds, and now after breaking into the base, the military. It is at this point Jasper decides to lay low. Knowing Jasper, the reason she's doing this is because the military will get in the way of her target Rose Quartz (Steven).

Take note I don't have enough evidence that Jasper got all that metal from a scrapyard. But I do know that the the metal bars are clearly stolen and she didn't just happen to "find" them.

    • BTW, check out my other discussion, where I share thoughts on a the subject in a Video by a youtuber named Akeem about Federal Agent Absence. I recommend watching the video first before leaving a reply, with the link I left in the discussion.
