The Unknown Jungle Planet is the primary setting of the Steven Universe Future episode, "Why So Blue?." Steven and Lapis Lazuli visited this planet in order to stop two Lapis Lazulis from terraforming it.
Description[]
This planet is one of the last to have been colonized by The Great Diamond Authority. The symbols on the garments of the Lapis Lazulis imply that this planet was a Blue Diamond conquest. Despite Steven having ushered in Era 3, the Lapis Lazulis that were tasked with terraforming it continued to do so for the fun of it. This led to large chunks of the land being torn apart, threatening the local ecosystem. Steven and Lapis warped to this planet to try and convince the two Lazulis to come to Little Homeworld, but they were met with resistance. In the end, Lapis was able to get the better of the two Lazulis and convinced them to leave the planet alone.
Ecology[]
The Unknown Jungle Planet mostly consists of plant-based life. Aside from the lush trees and bushes, the planet featured unique species of flora whose properties are unknown. These include the translucent plants seen when Lapis and Steven first arrived via the warp-pad, which appear to be entirely blue and translucent. The planet also featured some fauna whose designs appears to have been influenced by flora:
- Flower-Like Aliens
- Bud aliens: The bud-aliens (tentative name) are stubby creatures whose bodies appear to look similar to flower-buds. Similar to flower-buds, their bodies can open up to reveal their flower-like insides. The outside of their bodies appear to be mostly green.
- Seed aliens: This creature appears to come out of the ground. It has a small stubby which body with a long leaf growing out of the top of its head.
Infrastructure[]
Because the planet was still in the process of being terraformed, it had very little infrastructure aside from a Warp Pad.
